Sim-Versity Virtual Conference sells out!
UCC School of Nursing and Midwifery’s first virtual conference on Diversity and Simulation has attracted 300 delegates from across the world.
Sim-Versity is an international collaboration of health professionals, experts by experience, and student participants with a common interest in diversity and simulation-based education. The conference is a culmination of a 3 year project funded by Erasmus+ 2017 Key Action Strategic Partnerships for Higher Education Fund through the British Council. The project incorporates academic partners from United Kingdom, Finland, & Slovenia as well as Cork. The team have developed resources (available to all at www.sim-versity.eu) related to addressing cultural competence in simulation for healthcare students. These resources can help students deliver safer patient care while on clinical placements.
The keynote speakers will address issues related to diversity, patient safety and simulation-based education.
300 delegates will attend the conference virtually from 12 countries representing Europe, USA, Canada, Africa, the UAE, and New Zealand. To find out more about the conference, visit the conference website at www.sim-versity-conference.eu/home or follow us on social media using #simv2020
