Melissa Owens, from the University of Bradford, and Sharon Walker, from Bradford Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust, have been successful in having an abstract accepted to present at a conference in Abu Dhabi in 2021.  The conference: ‘All Together Better Health (the 10th international conference on interprofessional working and practice)’ (https://www.atbhx.qa/) has as its next theme ‘Sharing Pearls of Wisdom’ and will bring together academics and health care professionals from across the globe to share innovate practices.  The abstract was described by the organizers as demonstrating ‘a unique contribution to interprofessional education and collaborative practice’.  The presentation itself will describe a cross-institutional, interprofessional, simulation-based learning initiative involving medical and nursing students in the clinical setting.   The introduction of interprofessional simulation has steadily grown over the past decade and is considered a valuable means of promoting collaborative team working, thus providing a clear rationale for its use in this initiative.

Melissa Owens, a member of the Sim-versity project team, is also a Board member of CAIPE (Centre for Advancement for Interprofessional Eduation) (https://www.caipe.org/) who support the use of simulation to promote collaborative working.
